Credits to Leon Sooi for showing me his own show reel, which inspired me to make mine. He's been a real great buddy all these years throughout our course in Hwa Chong and I'm glad to have collaborated with him working on several projects (which you can spot him in in the video).
Do visit his blog at http://leonsooi.blogspot.com
It would have been great if you included more shots from Share, cos that is really your best achievement. Some shots from SOF should go... (and share the space with Share)
I think the best shots from A Countree are the beginning "fishing village" and "war" scenes (which you animated, marcus painted, and jl composited).
This current reel definitely demonstrates the diversity of your skils, but I'm sure you have many incredible bits of animation that you haven't included.
You're right about including more shots from Share, but I'd considered the time constraint plus I felt compelled to leave it as the concluding clip.
I forgo the 'fishing village' and 'war scenes' as I wanted to start it with coloured scenes, so it was quite a shame to let them go (along with several other projects' bits) though. I'll try to improve and update the reel as time goes on.
Anyway, this clip wouldn't have been possible if I hadn't seen your showreel! Thanks for providing me the impetus and inspiration!
Nice new blog + show reel!
